Cantonese Level Up is a free project for learning Cantonese. By making an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give an email address you can receive mail at, since it is how you reset your password. You need to be at least 13 to use the app.
What you upload
You keep the rights to what you upload. Only upload videos and subtitles you have the right to use, for your own study. By uploading, you let the app store and process them (transcribe them, show them back to you) to provide the service. We may remove an upload that infringes someone's rights or breaks these terms.
Using the app fairly
- Don't try to get into other people's accounts or data, or past the app's limits.
- Don't use automated tools to overload the app or copy its content in bulk.
- Don't use it for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things.
AI-generated content
Transcripts, translations, role-play replies and pronunciation checks are produced by AI and speech-recognition services. They are often right and sometimes wrong. A passed answer means you were understood, not that every tone was perfect.
No guarantees
The app is provided free and as is, without warranties of any kind. It may change, be unavailable, or stop running altogether, and features may be added or removed. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it, including lost progress or data.
Ending things
You can stop using the app at any time, and have your account deleted by emailing support@cantolevelup.com (see the privacy policy). If the app ever shuts down, we will try to give notice first.

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date; using the app after that means you accept it. Questions go to support@cantolevelup.com.
